Description

The CLP-735 sets the bar for what is required for an instrument to be called a Clavinova. Experience the sound of the binaurally-sampled CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos through your headphones, or enjoy the realism of Virtual Resonance Modeling through the on-board stereo speaker system. And with over a century of acoustic piano manufacturing heritage, it only makes sense that the best digital pianos come from Yamaha. The soul of a Yamaha acoustic piano. The heart of Yamaha innovation. Clavinova CLP blurs the line between acoustic and digital with authentic grand piano touch, tone and power. All with intuitive controls that let you do things only Yamaha digital pianos can do.

Key Features

  • Real Grand Expression 2 allows you to use the slightest variations of touch to create a limitless range of sound that captures your musical individuality.
  • GrandTouch-S™ keyboard with synthetic ebony and ivory key tops gives you the feeling of an acoustic grand’s light to heavy weighted keys, allowing for more precise playability.
  • Binaural Sampling technology delivers a three-dimensional sound, which recreates the perspective of the player position through headphones.
  • Fortepiano Voices allow you to hear classical compositions the way the original composers would have heard them.
  • Grand Expression Modeling simulates the mechanics of the hammers, strings, and all the internal components of the piano and transfers them into the control of your fingertips, to give the ultimate feeling of articulation and expression.
  • Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) allows for vivid and richly-varied expression to reflect the limitless number of factors that create the sound of a concert grand piano.

Customer Reviews

This is a top-notch piano store and I highly recommend a visit to anyone looking to buy a piano. Indeed, it would be well worth a long drive.I visited this summer, and ended up spending three hours at the store trying out grand pianos. Chris and Richard were very kind about explaining everything to me, and also allowing me to try out their pianos at leisure. They have a lot of brands that are comparatively little known in the US, and well worth trying. I got to try Schimmels for the first time -- really fantastic pianos. (My favorite of them, at least on the day I visited, was a Wilhelm Schimmel, which is less expensive than a standard Schimmel -- unfortunately that particular piano had been already sold to another customer and not yet delivered!) I also tried a Bosendorfer 185CS. Oh *wow*... to this day, this remains my favorite piano that I have ever tried. (Above Steinway, Bluthner, Fazioli, Steingraeber, etc. etc.) In the end, I resisted the temptation to double my budget.... but it is less expensive than many of its competitors.Their pricing on new pianos, based on comparison to information I found on the Internet, is good across the board and in some cases extremely good.Pianos are very individual, even within the same brand and model, and the piano I fell in love with (and that was within my budget) ended up being one I found elsewhere. But I would have been delighted to do business with Ruggero if it had been one I'd found there; this store offers great pianos sold at competitive prices by wonderful people. - Frank Thorne
