Bösendorfer Hall Rentals

Thank you for your interest in renting Bösendorfer Hall for your event! 

  • Maximum Occupancy – 100 chairs
  • Stage and Lighting – 12’ x 24’ raised stage with non-adjustable custom stage lighting
  • Pianos on Stage – Bösendorfer 280VC 9’2” Concert Grand and Yamaha CFX 9’ Concert Grand (we will place a Bösendorfer or Yamaha semi-concert grand on stage if one or both of our concert grands are unavailable for your event)
  • Studio Recital – $180 – For music teachers who would like to host their students in a professional setting at a discounted rate. A minimum of five students is required to be considered a studio recital. The studio recital fee includes use of up to two well prepared pianos and set up of chairs.
  • Private Event – $395 – For individuals, such as solo artists, teachers, students, or presenters who would like to host a private performance, fundraiser, or other type of event. The private event fee includes use of up to two well prepared pianos and set up of chairs.
  • Recording Session – $595 – For individuals interested in using our space and pianos to make a recording. The recording session fee includes concert tuning and preparation of one piano. Recording equipment and sound engineer are not provided by Ruggero Piano.
  • Availability – Bösendorfer Hall is available most evenings, Tuesday through Saturday, from 6:00PM to 8:30PM. Bösendorfer Hall is not available June 16th through September 14th and December 15th through January 18th and holidays.
  • Scheduling – Events for the upcoming season can be scheduled starting July 22nd at 12pm. We are not able to hold multiple dates for one event.
  • Doors for all events open at 6:00PM – Please notify your guests that early entry is not permitted. If one of your guests is interested in shopping for a piano and would like to browse our showroom before or after your event, please have them call our office in advance at 919-839-2040.
  • Departure – Doors for all events close at 8:30PM. Additional fees will apply if you and/or your guests have not departed by 8:30PM.
  • Setting Up and Tearing Down– All set-up and tear-down must occur within the listed arrival and departure times of 6:00PM and 8:30PM.
  • Total Fee Due at Scheduling – Payment in full is required at the time of scheduling your event. Payment can be made by credit or debit card.
  • Cancellations & Refunds – A full refund will be issued for any cancellations, regardless of when they are made. Please notify us as soon as possible if your plans change so we can update our schedule accordingly.
  • Ruggero Piano doors will not open before 6:00PM. Attendees should not congregate at the door or attempt to enter before their teacher’s arrival.  Further, teachers agree to notify attendees ahead how he or she plans to use the time from 6-8:30PM. For example, if you plan to run through pieces with a few students from 6-6:30, please let the rest of the students know not to leave their cars and enter the building before 6:30PM unless you want them to observe the run through.
  • No items may be placed on any piano at any time.  Pianos are also not to be leaned on or walked between.  Improper contact with pianos can cause expensive cabinet damage.
  • Parents are wholly responsible for the direct supervision of any and all children they bring to the recital.  All recital guests should remain in Bösendorfer Hall except for using the restrooms or for departing early.  For the safety of all, no running is allowed inside Ruggero Piano.
  • Pianos in the showroom may not be used by the students for warm ups or played by any attendees.
  • Ruggero Piano has a strict no food or drink policy.  Only bottled water may be brought into Bösendorfer Hall. 
  • Congregating before or after a recital, time permitting, may happen only inside Bösendorfer Hall.  Remaining in the showroom during the recital is not permitted due to the potential of disturbing the recital.
  • A separate handicap accessible restroom is available for use by those needing special accommodations.  See the recital host for more information.
  • In the case of recitals with instruments other than piano, the number of students and other guests should be calculated in order to leave sufficient space in the back rows for instrument cases.
  • Should parents want to use time before or after their student’s recital to shop for a piano, they should place a call to Ruggero Piano before the day of the recital to schedule an appointment.  Any questions about pianos can either be answered by the recital host or passed along to a Ruggero Piano team member who will get back with them expeditiously.
