For this event, Ian will be showcasing a year-long study highlighting the music of his favorite classical composer – Claude Debussy. The project included learning some of his more prominent pieces, annotating a biography (“Painter in Sound” by Stephan Walsh), writing an essay titled “Composing with Colors”, and composing a piece inspired by the ideas he’s learned from this undertaking. He hopes you will enjoy the performance just as much as he has enjoyed learning about this very important artist and his influence on the world of music!
