In his talk titled, “An American in Budapest,” Anthony shares his research and experiences of the city and the institution’s cultural vibrancy alongside a unique musical program of Hungarian composers. Anthony’s newest project is “The Classical Concerts” (2025), aiming to bring curated programs to wide audiences in North Carolina. Fire, Poetry, Rhapsody
Thomas Pandolfi, Piano

Join internationally acclaimed pianist Thomas Pandolfi for an electrifying evening of Romantic power, lyrical beauty, and dazzling virtuosity.

From the commanding brilliance of Chopin’s “Military” Polonaise and the sweeping grandeur of the “Heroic” Polonaise, to the delicate poetry of Debussy’s Clair de lune and Ponce’s Intermezzo, the program traces a vivid emotional journey through the Romantic and post-Romantic piano tradition.

The evening culminates in Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue (1927 solo piano version), bringing the program to a thrilling and unmistakably American finale.

A concert of intensity, elegance, and imagination—designed for both devoted piano lovers and new audiences alike.

Customer Reviews

My positive experiences with Ruggero Piano began 3+ decades ago when Richard first started tuning my pianos and continues today, as his son, John, has taken on this role, also skillfully tuning and maintaining my instruments. Over the years I have stopped by countless times at Ruggero Piano. Always greeted with warmth and cheerfulness from Richard and his employees, whether it was to buy music, attend workshops, recitals, Raleigh Piano Teacher meetings, Friday Monthly Concerts and best of all ---to buy pianos! My first piano purchase here was in 2016, when I replaced my aging piano with a lightly used upright in excellent condition. I have enjoyed both  playing this instrument, with its beautiful tone, and using it in my studio. Richard truly listens to the needs of his customers - informs, advises, puts them at ease, and gives them the time they need to  make the best choice that will make them happy! This year I made a decision to move up to a grand piano and after looking at different options, found myself returning to Ruggeros. Knowing the careful selection and preparation that goes into all the pianos they sell, I was confident that I would find a quality used grand that would be a joy to play. My grand piano arrived at its "forever home" a few weeks ago and I love everything about it! A big thank you, Richard & Chris for all your help, as well as all of Team Ruggero-- family, sales staff, office staff, workshop technicians (who did an amazing job on the upgrades I  requested) and of course the careful delivery team! You have all helped make this such a wonderful experience from start to finish! Gratefully, EM Pedroza - Em Pedroza
