Customer Reviews

I moved to the Triangle from Manhattan last year, was a bit worried about finding someone to care for my piano. (I'd had the privilege of a superb technician in NYC who worked with exacting musicians such as composer/pianist Michael Harrison.) Fortunately, I met Richard Ruggero, who practices tuning/regulating as the art that it truly is. There are few craftsmen like him who have the ear to tune a piano for beauty, not just accuracy--something no electric tuning device can accomplish. Richard goes miles beyond what is strictly required; he was sharp enough to pick up a "buzzy" string in the base that previous tuners had been content to let pass. Moreover, he's a genuinely kind, warm-hearted person, and his colleagues at Ruggero Piano have been delightful to interact with. I feel so lucky to have found this company and am honored to support their business. Long may they prosper! - V. L. Brandt
