I have known Richard Ruggero, who had done some work on my old piano, not only as a superb technician but also as one of the nicest and most honest people in the business. As my old piano is aging out, I have recently been looking for pre-owned Steinways, hoping to find my dream piano. Alas, the good ones are still out my price range, but I had recently heard about Estonia pianos, and contacted Richard Ruggero to see if he had one I could try. Indeed he did! He even placed it in a back room in the configuration I would have it in my living room, next to another piano. I really liked the Estonia, but liked the other piano even better, which turned out to be a Schimmel! Who knew? What I love about Richard and everyone in his shop is that they gave me (and the friends I brought along) ample time to play all the instruments we wanted to, with absolutely NO pressure! They were there to answer any of our questions but otherwise left us alone to play. Knowing how much I loved the (brand new!) Schimmel C 189, and also my budget, Richard was able to make me a wonderful offer, and I could not be happier with the piano! Delivery went smoothly, I’ve been playing it for a week now, and it seems to just get better and better! I am so grateful, knowing that I will have Richard and his staff to take care of my piano for as long as it lives here with me! - Ingeborg Walther
